Alvin Roth – 2012 Nobel Laureate.
Shen Shu Yi Foundation – with absolute honor – will be the host of Prof. Alvin Roth, winner of the 2012 Nobel Prize in Economics Sciences, in Beijing and Hong Kong on June 28th and July 2nd 2013 respectively.
Prof. Roth is the foremost expert in the field of ‘market design’, a discipline within microeconomics where he’s made significant contribution, especially in the area of ‘kidney exchange’. With this in mind, SSYF has arranged for Prof. Roth to meet with officials in charge of organ donation and transplant from the Ministry of Health in China on June 28th. On July 2nd, He will participate in a round table discussion with key individuals from Rotary Club (3450), HKU and ZSU that’s spearheading the nationwide organ donation and transplant awareness project mandated by the MoH.
